Turmeric Sweet Tea Recipe

Today I am going to share with you one of my favorite sweet tea recipes! This recipe differs from your typical southern sweet tea,but still tastes just as good maybe even better! Not only is this tea full of flavor, but it's also full of healthy herbs that work to cleanse and heal the body making it a two for one special.

I love incorporating this tea into my daily routine, especially in the morings when I need a quick pick me up, or when I'm under the weather. Another great quality about this tea is that it can be consumed on a hot summer day or a cold winter morning. Versitillity! I love it! Enough rambling lets get into this amazing recipe!

Things you'll need:

2 Quart Sauce Pan

Strainer

Cheesecloth or Paper Towel

Mason Jar or Cup

8 oz of Distilled Water

Urthly Kreations Turmeric Tea

1 Organic Lemon( cleansed and cut in half)

2 1/2 tbs of Organic Honey

In your sauce pan combine 8 ounces of water and your two lemon halves and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and allow lemon to simmer for five minutes. Add one tbs of Turmeric Tea, and 2 1/2 tbs of organic honey to sauce pan and gently stir. Allow contents to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow tea to steep for 10 minutes, I like to allow my mixture to steep in the fridge over night for a more potent mix, but I'll leave that part up to you!

Wheather you decide to enjoy your tea the same day or day two, this next step is still the same. Line your strainer with cheesecloth, if you don't have any cheesecloth on hand a paper towel will do the trick. Hold your strainer over a mason jar, or cup and began straining your mixture until there is nothing left in the sauce pan. Squeeze your cheesecloth or paper towel to get any ecxess liquid from the herb mixture and you're all done. There you have it just like magic,a delicious, healthy brew!

I hope you all will enjoy this recipe just as my family and I do. If you do decide to try and you enjoy it,please let me know what your favorite part of the recipe is!
